How to create a channel on WhatsApp
WhatsApp Channels is a new feature that allows businesses and public figures to share one-way updates with a large audience. Channels are similar to groups, but they have some key differences. For example, only admins can post to channels, and followers cannot reply to updates.
To create a channel on WhatsApp, follow these steps:
- Open WhatsApp and go to the Updates tab.
- Tap the + button and select New channel.
- Enter a name and description for your channel. You can also add a profile picture.
- Tap Next and select the people you want to be able to follow your channel.
- Tap Create and your channel will be created.
Once your channel is created, you can start posting updates. To do this, tap the + button in the bottom right corner of the screen and select the type of update you want to post. You can post text, images, videos, audio files, and links.
To manage your channel, tap the three dots in the top right corner of the screen and select Manage channel. Here, you can edit your channel’s name and description, add or remove admins, and change the channel’s privacy settings.
